Orphan wells pose a real threat to local communities and the environment through methane emissions. In Texas alone there are thousands of orphan wells on record, 500+ of which have been inactive for more than 25 years.

Through government funded contracts we ensure that these wells are plugged and abandoned to the highest standards; reducing greenhouse gas emissions and eliminating real threats to local communities and ecosystems.

Our team is invested in making sure that the earth is in a better place than we found it. After decades of oil and gas development in our country we are now faced with the challenge of cleaning up the mess left by oil and gas companies that no longer exist and whom left the burden of plug and abandoning on the local and federal governments. At RES we are passionate about cleaning up the environment that has given us so much, and keeping the earth a sustainable place for our future generations. We are here to step up and finally get the job done. We didn't create the orphan well mess but we are here to help fix it.
